LOOK NEAT by POWER DRESSING:   The saying goes "Dress to Impress",this goes the same with every job interview.
Consider yourself as the "PRODUCT" in the "MARKET" and you are "SELLING' yourself to the "CONSUMER". So how will the employers(CONSUMERS) will buy you if you don't know how to sell yourself? The first thing you should do is to Dress up properly and neatly to attract every employer.People from the advertising sector knows that packaging is crucial for selling a product for this is the first thing that the consumer sees. Every packaging must be striking and assumed to mirror the character of each product.Hence, product with a nice packaging is assumed to have a better quality even if you haven't tried it before .This is also true in every job interview.
First, impression matters.Being prepared must come along with looking prepared.

SMELL CLEAN:
I think this  item is not usually discussed. Yet, I want to highlight this one since some people often take this for granted. You see, bad odors even bad breath is a major no no in every conversation. So one piece of advice brush your teeth well before heading to an interview and better take those peppermint candies at least a minute before the interview.Just make sure that you already finished having your mints before the interview begins. As to your body odor, better use those anti-antiperspirant deodorants.Believe me it works.
Looking clean should come along with SMELLING CLEAN.
STAY FRESH:Better be on your interview at least one hour ahead of time. That's enough time to freshen up and do some retouch. Don't forget to put some powder in your face to eliminate the oiliness of your face and spray some perfume. But please don't overdo it. Too much powder or make-up can make you look like a piece of joke and too much perfume can cause your interviewer a headache.
RESEARCH: Before heading on an interview, you should always make a research. This will help you in gaining more confidence with your interview. You should research on the company you're applying for so you can send the employer the message that you are really interested in working in their company. Also, you should research regarding the job post your applying for so you could easily highlight the skills you have in relation with the qualifications of the position your applying for.
Knowledge is power and this may help you in achieving your target.
REVIEW YOUR RESUME: Make sure you review your resume a hundred of times before heading to an interview. This will allow you to check if you have misspelled words, misplaced punctuation marks or wrong grammar. It will also be helpful if you let someone read and review your resume for they might see errors that you might have overlooked.
Also, you should be able to elaborate everything that is written in your resume. So you should be able to relate what is written in your resume to the qualifications of the position your applying for.
COME EARLY: Being stuck in a traffic jam is a lame excuse. Everyone should know that being punctual is a good way of establishing a good impression to possible employers. Also, coming early for at least an hour will give you time to freshen-up and compose yourself for the interview.
BRING A PEN: Come on, not all companies would be glad to lend you a pen specially if they have a number of applicants lining up. Help yourself by bringing a pen. It is also nice to bring one more extra pen just in case the other one runs out of ink.
