Comedy Cartel: My HAPPY thoughts about this awesome show

The hilarious comedians from Comedy Cartel Philippines
from last September 18,2015 show at Scoozi Bar,Tiara Oriental Hotel,Makati

Are you enervated dealing with your life struggles that all you wanted to do is to laugh at it even just for a second? Perhaps, some people would take life seriously that often times they forgot to take a break and have fun. In my case, I make it a point to always make time for myself and have fun. I always wanted to look for new ways to eliminate all my stress and to atleast forget all about the undertakings I am experiencing.
They say that laughter is the best medicine and I strongly agree with that.Indeed, a genuine laugh is difficult to achieve especially if what you're feeling now is too difficult to handle or overcome but I believe that a mere laugh can give the best remedy for all the feeling that consumes you inside.
In this light, I would like to share with you about one of the sure ways to laugh your hearts out and release those tensions. This is thru attending one of Comedy Cartel Philippines' show.
Comedy Cartel is said to be the pioneer of point of view comedy herein the country. With 8 years of experience in bringing countless giggles,Comedy Cartel aims to bring in a different pitch of stand-up comedy here in the Philippines. The kind wherein they need not to make fun of other people or do some sarcastic commentaries.
So as a first timer to witness this wacky show,I would like to share my H-A-P-P-Y thoughts about this awesome show.

  • Humiliating is definitely not funny
It is a trend here in the Philippines to make people laugh by bullying people. But then again, a widely accepted fact does not mean that is is always righteous and humane.
Say for instance, the common notion for a comedy bar here in the Philippines is where you will see performers on-stage who will invite one of the members of the audience and make fun of them, usually,by uttering negative remarks about their physical features or by teasing them with naughty jokes.
Come on! if this is the kind of entertainment we're buying, then perhaps, we should stop being sensitive when we are given racist comments or even halt from supporting anti-bullying campaigns.
Definitely, comedy cartel's  way of throwing sensible punchlines without attacking certain people or entities should be commended and applauded by massive range of audience.

  • Anyone can be a comedian
Oh yes!you read it right. Anyone  can be a stand-up comedian. As far as I know, each performer from Comedy Cartel group came from different backgrounds and fields.
I believe,a good starter kit for comedian wannabes, would be having a keen observation of what is currently happening and a witty mind to transform these events into a punchline.
In fact, one of the equally wacky performer of the night is Dr. Bong Ramirez from the House of Zen. I was flabbergasted that it was his first performance as a stand-up comedian since he seems so natural when he is delivering his lines.
Truly, Dr.Bong should serve as an inspiration for those comic aspirants.

  • Positive outlook in life will make us laugh
When we are too blinded with our shortcomings that's the time we forget to laugh. After the show, I suddenly realize that every negative thing has its equally positive counterpart.  It's a matter of how you see and deal with things.
Say for instance when Sherwin Cunanan said that "hell is an unending suffering and to translate it in Tagalog we call it EDSA". When he mentioned this one, the crowd all laughed because everyone can relate about it. My point here is if there's a terrible situation you're in and you can't do anything about it just stop complaining because it will just consume your energy rather start trying to see the funny side of it and perhaps you'll feel much relief.

  • Perfect timing and delivery is the key
Sometimes having a funny thing to say is not adequate to make someone laugh. Most of the time it is in the timing and the delivery of your joke.
Say for example, I've noticed that each performer has a smooth and organized flow of throwing out their lines. I believed they've perfectly mastered how to connect unrelated series of events.
Absolutely, these  gagsters are all geniuses of their craft.
  •  You JUST HAVE TO LAUGH!
Most of the time you just have to take that break and laugh. In this light, I strongly recommend to check out one of Comedy Cartel's show and giggle uncontrollably.
