Hattendo Chilled Cream Buns  from Japan
Hattendo chilled cream buns were first introduced in the market in 1933 by Mr. Kaoru Morimitsu. The name was originally adopted from a small shrine in Hiroshima Japan. People say that travelers would drop by this shrine to rest and pray for a safe journey.
Also, the word Hattendo literally means "unlimited prosperity".  It is also worth noting that the founder first asked the permission of  the village people before adopting the name for his business.

It was only in 2014 when the brand decided to go global.Currently, they've got 16 stores in Japan,3 in Korea and 2 in the Philippines.
In the Philippines,C3 Premium Parthenership,Inc brought Hattendo chilled cream buns early this year.Currently,Hattendo has kiosks at SM Megamall Fashion Hall,SM Mall of Asia and pop-up store during weekends at Power Plant Mall in Rockwell.
Hattendo: A tradition of quality
Since the brand is quite particular with the quality of their product, all of the cream buns are baked in Japan and undergo a specific procedure of freezing. After which, all of the buns are shipped internationally through a strict and safe handling.
With thorough packaging and world class logistic services, the frozen buns are shipped exclusively to C3 Premium Partnerships,Inc.,via refrigerated transportation. From the port, the buns are then transferred to a cold storage facility. Each bun are then thawed 24 hours prior to selling.

One of the observations I had is that they have four staff on duty. I must say that this is not the usual trend here in the Philippines. Most of the time food stalls only have 1 or 2 employees to attend to customers. When I asked them why do they have plenty of staff they say that all of them has specific tasks. One is tasked to handle the money, whereas, 1 person is assigned to accommodate clients and 2 are designated to handle the buns. Indeed, they are very distinct when it comes to sanitation and quality.
Hattendo: Best eaten when chilled
In the span of 82 years, Hattendo has already produced and perfected  32 mouthwatering flavors. However, only 7 flavors are currently available here in the Philippines.Three of their best sellers inlude Custard,Whipped Cream and Matcha chilled cream buns whereas the remaining 4 equally tasteful flavors include Azuki Beans,Chocolate,Chestnut and Mango.
