Comedy Cartel at Vu's Bar Marco Polo

Last October 5,2015, I've got the another chance to catch one of Comedy Cartel's amusing show at Vu's Bar Marco Polo. 

Comedy Cartel Philippines is  a club of comedians from different professions who has the passion to bring laughter to their crowd through stand-up comedy,improvisation,ventriloquism,impressionism and other comedy art forms and discipline.

I guess it was my lucky night because I've got the chance to meet one one Comedy Cartel's founders,Mr. Tim Tayag. 

When asked about how did the group start, he said that he was a stand-up comedian back when he was still in the USA. However, when he came in here in the Philippines, he noticed that the stand-up comedy scene here was all about performers on-stage who would make fun of their audiences. 

He was lucky then when he met Patrick Cruz, their current manager, and Allan Manalo, a stand-up comedian, because they have started a big breakthrough in the Philippine entertainment scene by putting up a group of point-of-view stand-up comedians.

Other performers for the night include Sherwin Cunanan and Michelle Defensor. The show was hosted by Mr. Rene Cruz.

With 8 years of outrageous performances from their comedians, Comedy Cartel continues to promote point-of-view comedy here in the Philippines by doing some workshops to aspiring talents.
